A radiologic technologist (RT) working for Siemens Healthineers has been elected as vice president of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT).
Melissa Jackowski is a radiologic technologist and specialist in competency management development at the Cary, NC, office of Siemens. She will serve as vice president with the ASRT during 2016 and 2017.
In a statement, Jackowski said she was honored by the great responsibility and for the opportunity to have a positive influence on the profession, the membership, and the quality of care that patients received.
Jackowski began serving at the end of the 2016 ASRT annual governance and house of delegates meeting, held June 24 to 26 in Las Vegas.
