The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Foundation's 30th anniversary celebration campaign surpassed its initial fundraising goal of $3 million to reach $4.1 million in donations.
The donations will be used to fund research, scholarships, and career enhancement opportunities for medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals and students, the foundation said.
Called the Positioning for a Brighter Tomorrow campaign, the initiative provides the foundation with long-term financial stability in its efforts to empower radiologic technologists and strengthen the radiologic technology profession, the foundation added. In addition, the campaign worked to improve collaboration with industry partners to increase the quality and safety of patient care around the world.
Even though the campaign has ended, individuals and corporations can still have their names included on the ASRT Foundation Donor Wall, which is adjacent to the ASRT Museum and Archives at the ASRT office in Albuquerque, NM. Naming rights to facilities and meeting spaces at the ASRT office and personalized program awards also are still available.
