Siemens Healthineers and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) are collaborating to share the ASRT's Radcademy program today with 100 visiting children celebrating Take Your Child to Work Day at the vendor's Cary, NC, facility.
In the eight-hour educational session, children from grades four through eight will participate in hands-on activities aimed at helping them understand how medical imaging, radiation therapy, and lab diagnostic technologies are used to diagnose and treat patients, Siemens said. The students will rotate through nine different sessions throughout the day in the company's training center.
