Marconi Medical Systems has opened an office in Barcelona to better serve the Spanish market, the company has announced.
The Cleveland-based vendor previously had distributor-based relationships with its customers in Spain. Setting up a direct sales organization will enable the firm to offer tailored solutions to new clients, as well as to an installed base of 110 hospitals throughout the country.
The 45-employee office of Marconi Medical Systems Spain will be headed by Manual Miras, country manager, Rafael Vidal, service manager, and Marta Mas-Sarda, financial controller, according to Marconi.
