Agfa, AHRA, Cleveland Clinic launch RadX national case competition

Agfa Radiology Solutions, the Association for Medical Imaging Management (AHRA), and Cleveland Clinic have launched the RadX national case competition, the first U.S. case competition focused exclusively on radiology administration.

The competition, which aims to “foster innovation, leadership, and operational excellence in medical imaging,” according to the sponsoring organizations, is open to students currently enrolled in Associate of Science and Bachelor of Science Radiology Administration programs in the U.S.

In the competition, student teams will apply their knowledge to a detailed case study developed by Cleveland Clinic focusing on a current challenge in radiology administration, which may include AI adoption, productivity benchmarking, capital budgeting, dose management, staffing and workforce planning, or imaging workflow and operations.

The teams will have two weeks to analyze the case, develop a solution, and create their presentations, which will be evaluated by experts from Agfa Radiology Solutions, AHRA, and the Cleveland Clinic.

The winning team will receive free AHRA student memberships and a cash prize, as well as professional recognition and additional opportunities for networking and visibility, according to the organizations.

Applications are currently open through February 30, 2026; the winning team will be announced in April 2026.
