AJR moves into online publishing

The American Journal of Roentgenology (AJR) has gone digital. Beginning with the January 2000 issue, visitors to the American Roentgen Ray Society's Web site will be able to view all AJR articles, including high-quality, scalable images. Users can also search to find specific topics and link to the full text of articles cited in AJR references, according to the Leesburg, VA-based organization.

Initially, access will be open to all without password protection, although the online journal will become a society membership option, or available through a special subscription offer with password access. The online version of AJR is being coordinated by HighWire Press at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. HighWire Press produces online journals in medicine and other related fields.
