Fujifilm Medical Systems USA of Stamford, CT, said it plans to fund three educational travel grants for the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) 2011 annual meeting to be held in May in Chicago.
Fuji's grants will allow three U.S.-based radiology residents or fellows to attend the meeting. Valued at $2,500 each, the awards help fund the attendee's meeting registration and courses, as well as lodging and travel, according to Fuji.
Interested applicants must meet the following requirements:
- They must be a radiology resident or a fellow at the time of the meeting.
- They must be enrolled in a residency program in the U.S.
- They must be a current member of ARRS or have a membership application pending at the time of the application.
Fuji is taking applications for the grants via e-mail until February 14. Those interested should provide a one- to two-page, double-spaced personal statement of why they would like to attend the ARRS meeting and what they hope to gain from the experience, as well as a curriculum vitae and a letter of recommendation from their training/program director, including a statement that the applicant is in good standing.
Award winners will be notified in early March, Fuji said.
