Medical education firm Amirsys has announced the July launch of RadPrimer 3.0, a comprehensive learning environment covering all levels of radiology residency.
The latest version of RadPrimer contains prebuilt lessons and assignments, expanding the case-based learning experience into a fuller, more comprehensive radiology curriculum, Amirsys said. The new capabilities come in response to requests from program directors for a broader experience to provide strong foundational knowledge at all levels of residency.
While case-based learning and multiple-choice quizzes will remain, the new version is being launched with both basic and intermediate curricula, Amirsys said. The basic curriculum includes everything residents should master by the end of year 1. By the end of year 3, residents should master the expert-guided materials in the intermediate curriculum. An advanced curriculum is planned for a later release, Amirsys said.
The prebuilt lessons, created by experienced educators and thought leaders, offer overviews summarizing highlights and learning objectives in each topic, according to Amirsys. Also included are reading assignments by leading radiology experts, practice questions, and pre- and postlesson quizzes to test learning progress and comprehension.
Finally, RadPrimer 3.0 has tracking tools for insight into individual and program-wide performance on more than 5,000 questions, the company said. Administrators can use the tracking information to identify problems early and plan for improvement.
