Next month's ECR 2019 meeting in Vienna will include a wide variety of interactive exhibits, theaters, and scientific sessions focused on artificial intelligence (AI), according to the European Society of Radiology (ESR).
The ESR will debut the Artificial Intelligence Exhibition (AIX) in the technical exhibition this year. Located in the X1 hall, the AIX will enable attendees to meet small- and medium-sized enterprises, take in sessions at the AIX Theater, and participate in self-training on AI provided by Nvidia's Deep Learning Institute. The AIX Theater will feature keynote presentations, interactive panel discussions, and eight-minute pitches from more than 20 companies.
The society is also emphasizing its exclusive AI partnership with GE Healthcare. Of GE's 850-sq-meter booth in the X3 hall, 300 sq meters will be devoted to AI, including sessions at the AI and Analytics Theater, as well as interactive tools for visitors.
AI topics will also be well-represented in the scientific program. A record number of 44 scientific sessions -- including 317 presentations -- will focus on AI, according to the society.
