Ziltron is introducing the Perform & Director Product Suite, educational software that enables radiologists to test their diagnostic interpretative performance, at the RSNA 2011 meeting in Chicago.
The software features high-quality image viewing, real-time data capture and reporting facilities, and accurate statistical feedback on performance. It is available in various formats, including Web-based, PC, and Mac applications, as well as iPad and smartphones.
The software is designed to measure, analyze, and improve the diagnostic capability, quality, and performance of radiologists, according to the company. The software also helps imaging practices qualify for facility accreditation and improve their quality assurance, certification, and continuing medical education programming.
The system's features include evaluations of the radiologist's ability to handle basic functions with a workstation's graphical user interface, such as zooming, contrast and brightness control, and image navigation.
Results are expressed in terms of the clinician's efficacy compared with peers. Performance measures include user operating characteristic (ROC) analysis, sensitivity, specificity, location sensitivity, and negative and positive predictive values. Individual performance can be compared with that of colleagues in a group practice, large integrated healthcare organizations, and global peer groups.
