Breast imaging software developer Ikonopedia is showcasing upgrades to its breast biopsy reporting tool at RSNA 2019 in Chicago.
The enhancement includes individual macros customizable to the physician level. Autoselect macros can be used on devices, markers, routines, premedications, dispositions, and postprocedures, which can reduce the number of steps to complete a report. Initial feedback shows a reduction from 12 to 13 clicks to two to three clicks. The new package also supports galactography and Magtrace to accommodate all U.S. Food and Drug-approved tracking and localization modalities and markers, such as SAVI Scout, Magseed, iodine-125 seeds, LOCalizer, traditional dyes, and single and multiple bracketing options.
In other Ikonopedia news, the firm has been selected to install its structured breast reporting and risk assessment tools at Marshfield Clinic in Eau Claire, WI. The implementation involves 11 sites and a mobile mammography unit and is expected to go live in January 2020.
Marshfield Clinic Health System is the largest private group medical practice in Wisconsin and one of the largest in the U.S. with more than 1,200 medical providers representing more than 86 specialties and subspecialties, according to Ikonopedia.
