Contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) showed promise in two studies presented at the RSNA 2023 annual meeting.
Wendie Berg, MD, PhD, from the University of Pittsburgh, discussed with AuntMinnie.com the studies she and her team led. The studies went over how the modality screens high-risk women with no personal history of breast cancer and the causes of false-positive cases seen with CEM.
Berg also talked about the areas in breast imaging that CEM has an advantage over breast MRI.
