CHICAGO - PACS and DICOM software developer Merge Technologies and compression firm Pegasus Imaging have agreed to cross-license medical image compression and DICOM technologies. Under the terms of the deal, Milwaukee-based Merge will integrate Pegasus JPEG and wavelet data compression technologies into its product line, including its MergeCOM-3 medical image communication software. Pegasus of Tampa, FL, will integrate Merge’s DICOM technologies into its medical image manipulation software.
