SALT LAKE CITY - The 18th Symposium for Computer Applications in Radiology concludes with a half day of sessions. At 7 a.m., SCAR will host a roundtable for residents. Potential subjects for the roundtable include research projects, training opportunities, and careers in radiology informatics.
Two sessions of scientific paper presentations are planned, as is a special session on the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) initiative.
The closing session, which will address the current reality of the electronic medical record, will be moderated by Dr. Byrn Williamson, Jr. from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

8-10 a.m.: Scientific papers: Experience in Digital Practice Implementation
8-10 a.m.: SCAR 2001 special sessions: "Leveraging IHE, a Practical Analysis of Workflow Benefits"
10:30-12:30 a.m.: Closing session: The Electronic Medical Record: Current Reality
