Agfa will highlight its Embrace DR mammography system, which is already available in Europe.
The Greenville, SC-based firm expects to receive clearance for Embrace in the U.S. by mid-2004, with a commercial launch in North America set for next fall. Embrace includes a unit with gantry and acquisition station, and its Embrace Diagnostic Display Station, which uses Agfa’s proprietary Musica image-processing software.
The all-digital system allows images to be previewed (and printed) from the acquisition station. The multimodality Diagnostic Display Station allows radiologists to review all breast imaging modalities, including CR, CT, and ultrasound. The software can also integrate with PACS, RIS, and archives.
