Clinical:
Saber sheath trachea is associated with COPD in about 95% of cases and is nearly always found in males. The deformity is characterized by a narrowing of the trachea in the transverse dimension with increased AP diameter. The abnormality only affects the intrathoracic portion of the trachea. The coronal to sagittal tracheal ratio measured 1 cm above the level of the aortic arch will be less than 0.6.REFERENCES:
