New resource for orthopedic imaging news

Dear AuntMinnie Member,

We're pleased to announce this week's launch of the Orthopedic Imaging Digital Community, the latest member of AuntMinnie.com's growing family of Digital Communities.

Orthopedic and musculoskeletal imaging have become increasingly important for many reasons. A rise in sports-related injuries, the application of new imaging technology to orthopedic use, and the aging of the baby boom generation are just a few reasons.

With our new Digital Community, we'll bring you clinical and business news on all the latest techniques. For example, this week you can read about how 3-tesla MRI is making inroads into routine clinical practice for orthopedic applications. Read about it by clicking here.

Another article discusses the use of x-ray and MRI to assess abnormal acromial undersurface, which can be a cause of rotator cuff irritation. You can find that story here.

We'll also be bringing you imaging-related news from the upcoming American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) meeting in Washington, DC, where community editor Tracie L. Thompson will be directing our coverage starting on February 23.

So be sure to check out these articles, and a host of other resources, in the Orthopedic Imaging Digital Community, at orthopedic.auntminnie.com.
