Kodak provides imaging technology for 2006 Olympics

Eastman Kodak Health Group will outfit the three Olympic polyclinics for the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy, with digital medical and dental imaging technology.

The polyclinics, located in Torino, Bardonecchia, and Sestriere, will also receive Kodak information systems, according to the Rochester, NY-based vendor. Medical imaging equipment to be installed includes Kodak's DirectView DR 9000 unit, a CR 975 reader, and two CR 850 systems.

Kodak will also install its CareStream RIS and PACS networks, as well as its DryView laser imaging systems. Remote archiving of patient data and medical images will be performed at the Albacom's secure data center in Milan, Italy.
