GE Medical Systems and computer-aided detection developer Deus Technologies have released RapidScreen Digital, a digital lung cancer CAD product designed to improve detection of early-stage lung cancers by identifying regions of interest on digital chest images.
RapidScreen Digital recently received Food and Drug Administration clearance and can be integrated with GE's flat-panel Revolution XR/d and XQ/i digital radiography systems. It can also be used with existing computed radiography systems, according to GE of Waukesha, WI, and Deus of Rockville, MD. The two firms announced a lung cancer CAD development partnership at the 2002 RSNA meeting.
