Philips, PointDx ink deal

Medical software developer PointDx of Winston-Salem, NC, has signed a deal to supply its virtual endoscopy technology to multimodality vendor Philips Medical Systems of Andover, MA.

The deal licenses patents to Philips for techniques that use software to generate images of organs such as the colon and vascular structures, according to PointDx.
