First segment of PET/CT imaging atlas goes live

The first module of a free, interactive Web-based PET/CT imaging atlas is available at the Web site of the Joint Program in Nuclear Medicine (JPNM), a collaborative venture between Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center, and Brigham and Women's Hospital, all in Boston.

This installment covers normal and pathologic patterns of 18FDG uptake. In addition to a series of case studies, some technical challenges of PET and PET/CT are addressed, including reconstruction and artifacts.
