Toshiba Medical Systems of Tokyo, Japan, has installed its first new 64-slice Aquilion 64 CT scanner in Europe.
The unit was placed at Charité Hospital at Humboldt University in Berlin, and began scanning in September, according to the vendor. The scanner is scheduled for implementation at 12 facilities around the world in the coming months.
Toshiba announced the development of the 64-slice Aquilion at the International Symposium on Multidetector-Row CT in June.
