Image analysis software developer Medicsight has released Heart Screen, an update to the London-based vendor's MedicHeart 1.0 heart imaging software.
Heart Screen is an image analysis software tool for CT scans that aids in identifying and quantifying coronary artery calcification, Medicsight said. It features a newly designed user interface, and includes a boundary-extraction capability that identifies and extracts the boundary of calcium deposits in the major arteries.
The software then shows the deposits in either 2D or 3D using volume or mass measurement, according to the company. Heart Screen also provides a calcium score calculation using the Agatston method.
