The University of Michigan Medical School's Center for Molecular Imaging in Ann Arbor, MI, in early 2005 will be the first to install Gamma Medica's FLEX tri-modality preclinical imaging system.
FLEX can be configured to include any combination of PET, SPECT, and CT in a single device, according to the Northridge, CA-based firm. The systems share a common gantry, allowing accurate co-registration and fusion of the various image data. FLEX is modular, and can be reconfigured, upgraded, or expanded as needed.
