This Indianola, PA-based developer of contrast injector technology will update RSNA attendees on recent upgrades to its Stellant line of CT injectors, including Stellant SmartFlow, a software-based enhancement to the Stellant D dual-syringe injector.
SmartFlow suggests recommended protocols for cardiac CT to improve the timing of contrast administration relative to CT acquisition protocols. SmartFlow was first introduced as a work-in-progress at the 2005 RSNA show and is pending U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance.
Another introduction, Stellant iFlow, enables users to synchronize scanner injector start and stop times by controlling the scanner from the injector or the injector from the scanner. The capability is currently available for scanners with the Care Contrast CT module from Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA, and will be available for scanners from other manufacturers shortly, according to the company.
