Siemens Medical Solutions of Malvern, PA, and nanotechnology products developer Xintek of Research Triangle Park, NC, have agreed to form a joint venture to develop nanotechnology-enabled multipixel x-ray tubes for diagnostic imaging applications.
The joint venture, called XinRay Systems, combines activities the two firms have undertaken jointly over the last two years in one facility in North Carolina. It is staffed by a technical team transferred from Xintek and Siemens facilities in Germany and China, according to the companies.
