Group purchasing organization Broadlane of Dallas has announced the formation of a strategic relationship with ECRI Institute of Plymouth Meeting, PA, to offer guidance for its CT live capital equipment group-buy session scheduled for March 26-28.
ECRI, a health services research agency, will provide data about the state of the marketplace and the impact of recent technological advances on system performance and value to offer Broadlane participants an objective view to guide their purchasing decisions.
Broadlane estimates that 41% of hospitals will purchase a CT scanner this year. The organization anticipates that by aligning with ECRI it can offer group-buy participants a comprehensive overview of the issues involved in CT purchasing.
