United Imaging said it has delivered its 8,500th medical imaging system worldwide.
The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston received the milestone system -- a uMI 550 digital PET/CT scanner, according to the vendor. The 8,500 units included 6,500 systems and 2,000 workstations, United Imaging said.
