Dunlee, a division of Philips Healthcare, has announced that its DA200P40+LMB replacement CT x-ray tube has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Dunlee specifically created the tube to serve as a replacement to original equipment manufacturer parts in Revolution Evo and Optima 660 CT scanners from GE Healthcare.
The DA200P40+LMB tube features Dunlee's CoolGlide technology and quieter sound design, according to Dunlee. Its liquid metal bearing design also doesn't create friction, leading to less wear and a longer life.
Dunlee plans to begin tube delivery in the U.S. and Europe by the end of the year. The company also intends to launch the CT replacement tube in Canada, the Middle East, and China in 2021 following regulatory approval.
