Interventional technology provider AngioDynamics has introduced Soft-Vu 4F High Flow angiographic catheters, which are designed for diagnostic endovascular procedures. The catheter line include the firm's enhanced Super-Radiopaque soft catheter tips and a larger inner diameter, which allows for better visualization and higher contrast flow rates, according to the wholly owned subsidiary of Lake Success, NY-based E-Z-EM.
The catheters also allow for the passage of a 0.038-inch guidewire. The catheter tip reforms and maintains shape, even under injection pressure, AngioDynamics said. This results in reduced whipping effect during contrast injection and reduced risk of vessel-wall injury, according to the vendor.
