Philips debuts Eleva

Philips Medical Systems has introduced EasyDiagnost Eleva, a radiography/fluoroscopy system. The unit features an examination control concept that takes patient, physician, and procedure-related information from the radiology information system and adjusts relevant system parameters according to each user's preferences.

Eleva automatically adjusts for variations in patient size based on age, weight, and height. It can handle patients weighing up to 400 pounds, Philips said. The system's applications include gastrointestinal studies and vascular and interventional procedures in pediatric and general imaging, as well as women's healthcare, according to the Bothell, WA-based vendor.

Eleva also includes the vendor's ViewForum multimodality image viewing and processing software, as well as Philips’ DoseWise radiation management tool.
