Eastman Kodak Health Imaging of Rochester, NY, has donated a DirectView CR 500 system to Miller’s Children’s Hospital at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in Long Beach, CA. The product is a single-cassette tabletop reader that was introduced at this month’s American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA) meeting in Anaheim, CA.
The donated system will be used in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit, after initially being placed in the facility’s radiology department. Radiology staff will use the unit to evaluate its impact on productivity by eliminating the 60-foot walk currently required to process film cassettes for each patient exam.
