Canon will bring an upgrade of its DR system to this year’s show. CXDI-50G is a compact amorphous-silicon flat-panel sensor with a resolution of 5.9 million pixels.
The portable system’s imaging area is 14 x 17 inches. It’s built for general radiography, trauma, and bedside care applications, according to the Irvine, CA-based vendor. It weighs about 10 pounds and is less than 1 inch thick.
The system's target market is hospitals and imaging centers that have bucky adapters, and are interested in portable digital radiography upgrades. The unit has FDA clearance, and has been available worldwide since July. The list price is $157,000, depending upon the application and modification kits required.
