CMT of Israel will launch its SmartRad digital radiography system, a flat-panel-detector-based system featuring a single or double-detector configuration.
SmartRad is offered both as a retrofit for existing x-ray systems and as a digital subsystem that OEMs can incorporate into their own systems. Its x-ray interface features a bucky assembly, customer-defined grid, and generator control integrated into the operator console.
The operator console is a Pentium IV-powered system, with 512-megabyte main memory and a 18-inch touch-screen monitor. Image preview occurs in about 3 seconds, with image cycling time of less than 7 seconds.
SmartRad has been cleared by the FDA, and will be available worldwide during the second quarter of 2004. The price depends on the configuration.
