Philips launches electrophysiology imaging equipment

Philips Medical Systems will introduce integrated and customizable ultrasound and cardiovascular x-ray products for the electrophysiology market this week at the Heart Rhythm 2004 meeting in San Francisco.

The new products from the Bothell, WA-based company are the Allura XperFD 10 catheterization system with fluoroscopy protocls; the EP MedSystems' EP Workmate for 3D mapping of cardiac arrhythmias; the Tom Tec advanced analysis software for live 3D echocardiograpy; and the TomTec 4D left ventricle-analysis software package for evaluating left ventricular dysynchrony.
