Imaging3 gets FDA IDE

3D imaging device developer Imaging3 has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance to distribute its Dominion volumetric imaging scanner under the FDA's investigational device exemption (IDE) regulations.

The Dominion scanner is designed to produce 3D medical diagnostic images of virtually any part of the human body in real-time.

The Burbank, CA-based company said it anticipates receiving full FDA clearance in the near future.
