Digital x-ray firm Kub Technologies (Kubtec) has signed a distribution agreement with women's imaging vendor Hologic of Bedford, MA, covering its Xpert 40 digital specimen radiography system.
Xpert 40 is a self-contained, shielded cabinet x-ray system designed for use with surgically excised and needle core biopsies. The system has 16-bit contrast resolution and 1 mA x-ray source output, enabling it to image small microcalcifications in large specimens in a few seconds.
Fairfield, CT-based Kubtec plans to introduce a touchscreen interface for Xpert 40 at the upcoming American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA) conference in Denver.
