Konica Minolta wins Maine remote CR install

Konica Minolta Medical Imaging USA has won an installation of its ImagePilot computed radiography (CR) system in a remote medical facility off the coast of Maine, according to the Wayne, NJ-based vendor.

Prior to installing ImagePilot, Island Community Health Services in Vinalhaven, ME, couriered films via ferry to Penobscot Bay Medical Center on the mainland, causing delays in diagnoses. Now the facility can send images electronically, Konica said.

ImagePilot is an integrated CR system that combines CR acquisition, patient registration, image viewing, and storage. It includes Konica Minolta's AutoPilot image processing technology.
