Carestream debuts new DR software

Medical imaging vendor Carestream Health of Rochester, NY, has unveiled new software for its DR 7500 digital radiography (DR) system.

The software contains Kodak DirectView EVP Plus, which is designed to enhance user control over image displays, provide more consistent presentation of images across soft-copy and hard-copy devices, and improve image processing algorithms.

The software features a customizable user interface and provides 45 new electronic image markers to enhance communication between technologists, radiologists, and referring physicians.
