Imaging informatics firm Viztek of Jacksonville, FL, plans to introduce a portable digital radiography (DR) detector at this year's annual RSNA meeting.
The 14 x 17-inch portable DR unit is designed to integrate with most existing wall stands and table buckys without modification. The DR panel is enclosed in a lightweight casing that is shock and water resistant and weighs 8.6 lb.
Viztek expects to begin shipments of the new DR detector in the first quarter of 2009.
