Del Medical Systems Group posted an 18.8% drop in net sales in its fiscal 2009 first quarter, as increased domestic medical equipment sales weren't enough to overcome decreased international sales volume.
For the period (end-November 1), the Franklin Park, IL-based firm had net sales of $19.6 million. The dip in revenue was attributed to an unusually high number of international shipments in the first quarter of fiscal 2008, according to Del. Operating income was $900,000, down from $2.2 million a year ago.
