Carestream lines up product launches for ECR 2013

Carestream Health has announced it will be bringing a range of new technology to next month's European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna.

The company will be introducing a nonmotorized option for its DRX-Evolution digital radiography (DR) system. Called DRX-Evolution Standard-Q, the device features an ergonomically designed wall stand that offers an extensive vertical travel range, according to the vendor. In addition, the extra-wide Standard-Q elevating float-top table can be lowered easily to accommodate stretcher and wheelchair patients and offers increased patient weight capacity, the company said.

Carestream will also be showcasing a number of products it introduced at RSNA 2012, including: the DryView 5950 laser imaging system for general radiology and mammography images; MyVue patient portal for patient access to images; new lesion management tools for Vue PACS; enhancements to its RIS that include the storage and tracking of radiation dose information; DRX 2530C, a smaller-format 25 cm x 30 cm cesium iodide wireless DR detector suitable for dose-sensitive pediatric, orthopedic, and general radiology exams; and a new module that displays digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) exams from DICOM-compliant acquisition devices on its Vue Mammo workstation.
