Carestream Health is launching two new cesium iodide, glass-free x-ray detectors: Lux HD 35 and Lux HD 43.
Both detectors feature a 100-micrometer pixel pitch for higher resolution and image magnification capabilities, according to the company. They are compatible with the DRX-Evolution Plus, DRX-Revolution Plus, DRX-Compass, DRX-RISE, DRX-1 System, and DRX-Transportable System/Lite, and include X-Factor technology, which allows the detectors to be shared across DRX equipment within a facility, Carestream said. The detectors also feature digital exposure control for wireless mode to extend automatic exposure control to out-of-bucky exams and mobile applications, according to the company.
Lux HD 35 and Lux HD 43 are compatible with Carestream's ImageView Software platform powered by Eclipse with AI. Another detector, Lux HD 2530, is based on the same platform and is planned for launch in the second half of 2026.
