Siemens Medical Solutions has debuted bonSAI, a fluorescence optical imaging technology. A pre-clinical imaging device, bonSAI provides in vivo imaging of molecular processes, according to the Malvern, PA-based firm.
BonSAI is designed for pharmaceutical and biotechnology research organizations. It can aid in target identification and early prioritization of candidate drug compounds, Siemens said. The company also envisions broad applications for bonSAI in basic academic research.
