PHILADELPHIA - Imaging software developer Syntermed has introduced NeuroQ, a software platform designed to assist in the interpretation of brain PET scans, at this week's annual meeting of the Society of Nuclear Medicine in Philadelphia. NeuroQ consists of quantitative software tools, including PET DP.
Developed in collaboration with Dr. Daniel Silverman, Ph.D., of the UCLA Medical Center, PET DP provides automated quantification of more than 200 standardized regions of interest, according to the Atlanta-based firm. It also compares brain-region activity in an individual scan with regional activity values derived from a database of normal scans, employing quantitative and statistical assessments, Syntermed said.
