Voximetry now offers nuclear medicine dosimetry technology as a remote service, with its recent launch of RPT Dosimetry Clinical Services.
Incorporating radiopharmaceutical therapy dosimetry typically requires advanced, in-house software, and a trained physics staff, Voximetry said. Using the remote service, clinicians can upload one or more quantitative SPECT/CT scans to a cloud repository where experts provide voxel-level dosimetry calculations and comprehensive reports that support billing of existing reimbursement codes.
In addition, the company has partnered with Flywheel to manage the secure transfer of clinical imaging data. As images are uploaded, they are encrypted in route and automatically deidentified by a Flywheel gear in the cloud. The data is then transferred to Voximetry to complete dosimetry and then automatically returned to the clinic.
Voximetry debuted the service at the recent Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) annual meeting in Toronto.
