Molecular Imaging notches 2003 revenue uptick

Molecular Imaging reported unaudited fiscal fourth-quarter revenues of $5.7 million, up 20% from the $4.8 million posted in the fourth quarter last year. For the 2003 fiscal year (end-June 30), the company said its revenue increased 29% to $21 million compared with revenue of $16.3 million posted in its 2002 fiscal year. No earnings information was provided.

The San Diego-based firm attributes the increase in revenue to fiscal 2003 initiatives such as its first mobile PET/CT unit in New York, establishment of its first fixed-site PET facility in St. Petersburg, FL, and its recent acquisition of the PET and cyclotron facility in San Diego with the University of California, San Diego.

The firm will release audited year-end financial results on September 30.
