Medical isotope developer IsoRay of Richland, WA, saw revenues more than triple in the first quarter of the company's 2007 fiscal year, although the company's operating loss for the period grew as well.
For the quarter (end-September 30), IsoRay reported sales of $1 million, up 386% compared with sales of $211,000 in the first quarter of fiscal 2006. The company's operating loss for the quarter was $2.9 million, compared with an operating loss of $2 million in the corresponding quarter the year before.
The operating loss for the most recent quarter included a charge of $781,000 due to a change in accounting rules, and $288,000 in a one-time severance expense.
