(Booth 8342) Carestream Health's Molecular Imaging division, based in New Haven, CT, plans to show a new software module for bone mineral density analysis of small animals and in vitro specimens using multienergy digital x-ray imaging.
The software is for numerous applications, ranging from the study of diseases of the bone, such as arthritis and osteoporosis, to the efficacy of drugs and other treatment options that may affect bone mineral and other densities.
The software utilizes cylindrical modeling to measure bone density and bone marrow, and it provides another parameter to track disease development and monitor changes.
The optional software is designed for use with the Kodak In-Vivo Imaging FX Pro, Kodak Multispectral FX, and Kodak DXS 4000 Pro systems.
