(Booth 1118) PET developer Naviscan of San Diego brings to RSNA 2008 its PEM Flex Solo II high-resolution organ-specific PET scanner for positron emission mammography (PEM).
Naviscan also will display a biopsy accessory for the system, designed to target and guide biopsies of suspicious breast lesions identified with PEM. The accessory currently is pending 510(k) clearance.
In addition, Naviscan will launch its new viewing interface developed in collaboration with Cleveland-based MIMvista. Key features include the ability to review a series of tomographic images, locate the most significant slice, and measure background to lesion ratio.
Naviscan also is launching mobile capability for its scanner, allowing service providers or large healthcare networks to offer PEM scans to multiple sites.
